Singapore’s scandalous ‘porn king’ “Gary Ng” has been convicted in court today of possession of 507 self-directed films depicting him having sex with various women, forgery and theft.

The prosecution had requested the 28 year old ”Gary Ng”, whose Chinese name is Chen Guilin to be given a heavy sentence of 4 years imprisonment.

“Gary Ng” shot to fame two years ago by uploading video clips of him having sex with women ranging from 18 to 47 years of age on Sammyboy Sex forum as well as many file sharing sites hosted overseas.

He claimed that all the women agreed to be filmed though it was revealed by police investigations subsequently that some of them did not have the knowledge that they were being filmed.

The women “Gary Ng” claimed to have “shag” includes friends, property agents, beer girls, banker, nurses and university graduates.

It is not known how “Gary Ng” was caught by the police. He gave an interview to Razer TV and The New Paper last year.

The CID Forensics Team has the ability to trace the IP addresses of netizens hiding behind the cloak of anonymity who upload files on file sharing websites even if they are hosted overseas. The more sites one upload to, the higher the probability one will be caught.

“Gary Ng” was arrested last year June, a year after his sex films were posted on Sammyboy Sex Forum. It is a criminal offence in Singapore to possess, distribute or reproduce pornography in any form and to upload them on the internet.

Boy 16 on probation for arse-raping schoolmates

A 16-year-old boy who made his schoolmates have anal sex with him will be put on probation for 36 months and perform 120 hours of community service.

The teenager, who was 14 years old when he committed the offences, has an IQ of 84. This puts him at the low end of the average range of intelligence.

His two mildly retarded victims were 14 and 15 years old when he had sex with them.

The Court Today heard that the boy must now be accompanied by his parents whenever he is in contact with "males who are intellectually challenged". He must attend an "offence specific treatment programme". His parents and aunt also have to pay a bond of $5,000 to ensure his good behaviour.

The Court heard that the teenager decided to have sexual contact with his victims after he encountered pornographic gay websites on the Internet. He approached his first victim who agreed to have sex with him after the teenager threatened to sever their friendship if he turned down the request. The two teenagers then had sex at a multi-storey carpark at Block 603A Senja Road in the Bukit Panjang area in March 2008.

The teenager had a similar sexual encounter with the other boy at a different multi-storey carpark at Block 185A Jelebu Road located in the same neighbourhood in October that year.

The Court was told that his second victim continued having sex with him out of fear that the teenager might spread rumours about him. The crimes only came to light when the second victim told his own mother about his ordeal. The boy's mother told the school and staff members then informed the police about it.

Speaking to reporters after the hearing, the offender's parents said that their son is now banned from using the Internet. They will also work together with his aunt to take him home from school every day.

For his offences, the teenager could have been sentenced to up to 10 years' jail, fined, or both

A Singaporean woman was seen sunbathing at the roof level of a multi-storey carpark in Singapore. It would have been more interesting if she got run over by a surprise driver.

Photos and an eyewitness account was sent in to citizen journalism website STOMP.

The reader said that besides being a distraction to residents, the woman was also endangering herself by sunbathing at a carpark.

According to the reader, the woman's buttocks were in full view of the neighbours in the opposite block and reckoned that she was sunbathing at the wrong place and should be doing it at a beach instead.

A primary school janitor was making his rounds when he found that he could not open the door of a classroom. When he forced the door open, he was greeted by a shocking sight. In front of him, sprawled on the teacher's desk, were two teenagers - stark naked.

The janitor at Tao Nan School in Marine Crescent in Singapore told The New Paper that he chanced upon the teenage couple during a routine check of the classrooms at about 5.30pm on Monday. He said they looked no more than 19 years old.

Siew would usually open the door to each classroom and look inside to make sure that no student had been left behind. When he reached a second-floor classroom in a quieter corner of the block, he found that its door was stuck.

After forcing it open, he realised that a chair had been used to prevent it from opening. That's when he saw the naked couple. When they saw him, the youth darted off the table while the girl hid behind it. Said Siew: "I got a shock when I saw a naked man jump down from the table. He looked like an apeman. I could have had a heart attack.

"I told them, 'This is a school, you can't do such things.' The boy said to me, 'Uncle, don't interfere.'" The youth told the girl to get dressed and then ran to the classroom door still naked.

Siew wanted to lock the intruders in the room but before he could find the key, the boy had reached the door. The two of them got into a tussle at the door with Siew trying to close it and the boy preventing him from doing so.

The girl, who had got dressed, slipped out of the room while her friend held on to the door. "I just stood back and let the girl go," said Siew.

The boy then went back in and got dressed. Siew then took out his mobile phone to call the school's operation manager. "The boy probably thought I was trying to take his photo and he snatched my phone,"he said.

The youth then fled from the classroom. "He ran downstairs but he could not get out as the door (on that side of the building) was locked, so he came back up," Siew said. "He was carrying a backpack so I held on to it as he ran past me. I told him, 'Give me back my phone.'"

The boy, who was holding Siew's phone in his right hand, threw it on the floor, turned around and punched Siew with his left fist. "I fell after he hit me. My left eye was in pain and when I felt it, I realised it was bleeding.

It's hard to reconcile this academically smart girl with the impulsive 13-year-old Singaporean who ran away from home.

And that, with a boy whom she had known for only three months.

The reason? Because her mum had scolded and slapped her as she had mutilated herself yet again. When The New Paper caught up with her at her Clementi flat last night, we asked Amy what caused her to run away from home.

She simply said it was because she was "tired of schooling".

Did she regret running away?

"No, we did what made us happy," she replied, with a tinge of smugness.

Her mum Lilian Tan (not her real name), had earlier told us: "You can take pictures of her, she doesn't mind the attention."

Tan, 36, who is separated from her husband, had left Amy in the living room, accompanied only by the girl's best friend, another 13-year-old, to field questions from reporters.

Meanwhile, Tan logged on to her computer in her room.

Not that Amy needed any help from her mum.

She nonchalantly showed us the scars on her right forearm.

When asked, she related what she and her boyfriend, 19-year-old full-time national serviceman, Mark (also not his real name) did during the five days on the run before the police finally caught up with them.

Mark, who allegedly left his camp without permission, was tired of military life, Amy said.

So when her mother slapped her last Thursday and threatened to send her to a girls' home over her habit of cutting herself, she decided to pack up and leave home.

"She had never hit me before, except once when I was in Primary 5," said Amy, who said she became very upset.

After a quick discussion with Mark over the phone, Amy set off from home with three sets of clothes in a backpack.

She also allegedly stole $2,000 (RM4,660) iin cash from her mother.

Then, it was five crazy days on the run.

While both their parents were worried sick, the teens went on a spending spree, splurging on some luxury items.

They discarded their old clothes and shoes and bought new ones.They also dyed their hair.

Amy got new ear piercings and a tattoo of a "flying horse"on her ankle.

"We wanted to change the way we looked so that people on the streets cannot recognise us," she claimed, referring to how news reports on them had been published in the Chinese media over the weekend.

"I also wanted to do things which my mum did not allow me to,"Amy added.

The teenagers watched movies and dined at Japanese restaurants.

In total, they blew about $1,600 (RM3,700) in five days.

She has been a gamelan musician for 7 years, a multi-disciplinary fine artist and founder of Travellators. Jacklyn Soo graduated from Lasalle-SIA College of the Arts in Fine Art (Sculpture) in 2001. She participated in Worm’s Festival 1999 and 2000 (organised by Plastique Kinetic Worms) and The Artists Village’s Post-Ulu (1999-2000). She also organized a performance involving local musicians and artists in 2000.

She started playing Indonesian Gamelan as an extra class during her Fine Art studies at the now Lasalle College of the Arts and soon found herself progressing and performing in numerous music events both on the international and local front. Her teachers are well-known Gamelan professors, Dr. Alex Dea and Pak Midiyanto. Both of which have contributed and helped shaped her interest in preserving ethnic cultures.

Jacklyn experiences Gamelan music as an "offering to nature in the most abstract form" and with this notion in mind and heart, she takes on new challenges in working on both traditional and new-creation music.

Jacklyn has performed at various events such as the Opening Festival of The Esplanade-Theatres on the Bay in October 2002 (Singapore), the Opening of Asian Civilisation Museum 2003 and Opening Festival of the ArtsHouse 2004. More Geylang Girls nabbed

IN A multi-agency raids at various locations including entertainment outlets, back lanes, lodging houses, and in Geylang and Joo Chiat road, as well as forested areas in Woodlands, 108 persons were arrested.

The joint effort, which ended early on Friday morning, was led by the Criminal Investigation Department, and involved more than 200 officers from the Singapore Police Force, the Central Narcotics Bureau and the Immigration and Checkpoints Authority, together with officers from Singapore Customs.

The persons were arrested for a host of criminal offences including illegal gambling activities, secret society involvement, peddling contraband cigarettes, vice-related activities, trafficking and drug-related offences.

The operation also uncovered persons working without a valid work permit.

Investigations against those arrested are ongoing, said police.

A MYSTERIOUS person has claimed to have a sex VCD of Singapore film-maker Jack Neo and singer-actress Foyce Le Xuan, and has threatened to release it.

According to Chinese evening daily Lianhe Wanbao on Wednesday, the person sent an email to Neo on Tuesday evening, claiming to have the VCD of him and Le having a tryst in a hotel room, and demanded Neo to come clean on their relationship.

The email, which was also sent to Lianhe Wanbao, also included an image of the two having sex, allegedly taken off the VCD.

When contacted, Le said her church pastor had informed her about the email. She was 'shocked' by the claims and has already made a police report.

She maintained that she has never checked into a hotel room with Neo. 'I think this is a hoax. I'm afraid that someone has created the VCD to ruin Jack and my reputation, that's why I made the police report to protect myself,' she added.

Le, the second woman to be linked to Neo after part-time model Wendy Chong first spilled her affair with the Cultural Medallion winner, suspects that the mysterious person could be the same one who had made threatening phone calls to her earlier, when she first went public to reveal that Neo had sexually harassed her when she was a member of his artistes group.

She said that her spat with Neo had stopped after mediation. She did not expect another storm to brew again - until the latest VCD threat.

Neo, through his manager, confirmed that he has received the email but declined to comment further.

According to Mediacorp, two MediaCorp TV12 Suria’s programmes ‘A’ and ‘Anak Metropolitan’ both aced the ‘Top Programmes of the Week in Suria’ list in their debut episodes. Leading the teenage gangster team are Nadia Fazlini and Suzairhe Sumarie. Nadia was the winner of Suria’s talent search competition, Anugerah 1999, and was nominated for ‘Best Supporting Actress’ category in Suria’s Pesta Perdana 5. Suzairhe is an accomplished actor and was nominated for the ‘Best Actor’ and ‘Best Supporting Actor’ categories in Pesta Perdana 5.

A GRAPHIC video clip of a former Singaporean air stewardess and part-time actress having sex with a man has been circulating online. The four-minute clip, which focused nearly entirely on the woman in explicit poses performing sex acts, is the latest in a growing and dangerous trend among young adults who take compromising pictures of themselves or let others do so. But unlike the other clips that have surfaced online of relatively unknown local victims, the woman in this video is a celebrity of sorts. The New Paper believes she is a part-time actress who has appeared in television dramas on the local Malay TV channel Suria. The video looks to be taken by the man. It also appears to have been taken with the actress’ knowledge, as she is the focus of the video throughout. The woman in her 20s, a former air stewardess, did not want to say much about the video when contacted by The New Paper yesterday.

When asked if she was the person in the video, she simply said it was “personal info” she did not wish to divulge. When asked if she was upset by the video, she replied: “If you were in the video, would you not be upset?” A hotline caller who claimed she was a friend of the woman in the video said that the clip surfaced in the last two days on a US-based media-sharing site that also included two still photographs of the woman in a bikini posing with friends. The site allows users to create, share and discuss blogs, photos, videos and music with others. The video of the woman was taken down by yesterday evening.

According to support staff from the site, the account of the woman was created on Tuesday and cancelled by the creator earlier yesterday. The support staff have also said that “if this was an illegal act and the authorities contact us with a subpoena, we will provide whatever information we can”. This same clip of the woman and two others that showed her naked also appeared on a site popular with Malay artistes in the region. Those too were removed within a day. The friend of the woman said that the woman was “very upset” when bikini pictures of her appeared last year, but these videos were “shocking” in comparison. The woman acted in several drama series. The New Paper understands that the woman is no longer on contract with MediaCorp. Those familiar with the woman’s TV appearances were “shocked and disgusted” by the video.

Mr Muhammad, a driver in his 30s, said that he found the link to the woman’s video through a Facebook friend’s profile and watched the video yesterday morning. “I was shocked to see it, especially since she has not been on television for the last few years. It is strange that this has suddenly surfaced,” he said. A media executive who only wanted to be known as Serena, 31, said: “The video was disgusting. Who knew that a ‘girl-next-door’ type like her could be so naughty.” Lawyers and counsellors interviewed yesterday touched on the growing trend of “camwhoring” and the dangers it poses. More people are open to the idea of taking such pictures these days, while the Internet and the wide range of gadgets with cameras make it that much easier to film, and distribute the images. According to entertainment lawyer Samuel Seow from Samuel Seow Law Corporation, it is an offence to make such videos. Said Mr Seow: “They ought to know that such content is considered obscene. As long as you are the one filming it, you are the maker of the obscene content.”

According to Section 29 of the Films Act, an offender can be fined between $20,000 and $40,000, or jailed for up to two years, or both, if found “making” or “reproducing” obscene films. It is also an offence to possess obscene video clips or pornographic material. Those caught can be fined $1,000 per film, up to a maximum of $40,000. In the case of a woman who is a willing party in the clip, Mr Seow said she “she cannot claim that someone has infringed her privacy”. However, because the reputation of the woman is reduced through the dissemination of this private video, it can constitute “defamation” of the woman and she can try to file a defamation claim against the person who leaked it. The Straits Times reported in July last year that counsellors say there is an increase in people who indulge in “camwhoring”.

Mr Mani Joseph, the assistant director of the Asian Women's Welfare Association Family Service Centre, said he sees about five young people who have taken such photos – some of whom have posted them online – each day. This was rare in the past, he said. “Youth used to be shy. Now, they are bolder,” said Mr Joseph, who has counselled some who post topless photos of themselves online. Dr Carol Balhetchet, director of youth services at the Singapore Children’s Society, said she has had to counsel one teen every fortnight against such behaviour. Such acts were previously unheard of, she added. “Many don’t realise how easily the material can leak out to the Internet.”

In less than 6 months, there are 2 cases of woman having sex with young boys, got caught and sentenced. These are the only 2 cases in the history of Singapore. What happened, man? Why are Singaporean middle-aged women so deprived of sex?

In only the second case to be ever sentenced in Singapore, a woman was jailed 10 months for causing a boy under 16 to have sex with her.

In two weeks, the 32-year-old divorcee had sex seven times with the 13-year-old boy. Currently unemployed, she was working as a canteen stall assistant in the boy's school.

According to MY paper, the boy's mother was taking care of her 14-month-old child while the accused went to work.

He would call and message the accused on his mother's behalf, which was how they started contacting each other.

In addition to making arrangements for childcare, she expressed her interest in him, and they started having sex.

On May 17, after having sex, they were discovered by the woman's sister-in-law when she came to visit. She found the boy hiding in the closet.

The woman's elder brother, who arrived later, called the police as he suspected the boy of being a thief.

According to her psychiatric report, she was suffering from depression when it happened. She also told the doctor that they were mutually attracted to each other.

The judge found that she had taken the initiative to approach the boy, and being the older person, she should have known that her actions were wrong.

In the earlier case in February this year, a former teacher was sentenced to 10 months for having sex with a 15-year-old boy.

The couple who treated open air diners in Holland Village to a 15-minute naked parade earlier this year have been identified.

The woman is Singaporean Eng Kai Er, 24, who is studying at a Swedish university, and the man, a Swedish student on exchange here in Singapore, is Jan Philip, 21.

Eng, described as a petite woman with short hair, is an A*Star (Agency for Science, Technology and Research) scholarship holder.

She was also a member of Mensa, an association whose members are defined by their high IQs. According to the A*Star website, she is pursuing a PhD in infection biology at Karolinska Institutet, Sweden.

During her teen years, Eng represented Singapore as a competitive ice skater in Skate Asia, the largest ice-skating competition outside the United States. Her father was quoted by a local free sheet as saying that his daughter is a nice and lovely girl, and the family is standing by her.

Both Eng Kai Er and Jan Philip were charged on Friday of walking naked in public at Holland Village on Jan 24 at about 11pm under the Miscellaneous Offences (Public Order and Nuisance) Act.

If convicted, they may be fined up to $2,000 and/or jailed for up to three months. Their lawyer asked for an adjournment to write in to the Attorney-General's Chambers. The case has been adjourned to April 30.

Lianhe Wanbao reported that for Singaporeans, bail need not be posted in this case, but as Jan Philip is a foreigner, bail of $5,000 was required. The Chinese daily also reported that the female accused was willing to post bail on his behalf.

A Malaysian worker from Sarawak died after he was mauled by tigers at the Singapore Zoo in Mandai Road Nov 12th, afternoon.

Visitors watched in horror as three white tigers pounced on Nordin Montong, 32, who was said to have entered the enclosure where the tigers were kept in the 12.30pm incident.

Zoo workers rushed to rescue him by distracting the tigers.

A Singapore police spokesman who confirmend the incident when contacted by Bernama, said the man was injured on his neck and body.

Paramedics pronounced him dead at about 12.45pm.

The Tammy sex video scandal was an incident in Singapore involving a sex video first circulated in mid-February 2006 that turned into an Internet phenomenon. The incident began when a student from Nanyang Polytechnic (NYP), known only as Tammy, apparently had her mobile phone stolen, and a 10-minute video of her having sex (which included intercourse as well as oral sex) with her boyfriend was uploaded on the internet.

The video, which was stored in the girl's mobile phone, was initially spread via instant messaging, email and blogs, but eventually made it to the front pages of national newspapers. Shortly after, the video gained international notoriety as many people curiously began searching for it online under the keyword Tammy Nyp, causing the scandal to make it to the first five places in Technorati's top search terms for almost two weeks.

The video was reportedly sold on DVDs in Penang, Malaysia. A domain on the scandal's top search term was also squatted, and other merchandise such as T-shirts was sold online.

PARK CITY, Utah (CNN) -- "Did it hurt? Well, yeah. It's like running a marathon, you know, the pain is part of the high -- part of the adrenaline rush. It hurt, but it's not something I didn't expect."

So said Grace Quek, aka Annabel Chong, in an interview at the Sundance Film Festival about her experience on January 19, 1995. At that time she was a 22-year-old University of Southern California masters degree candidate -- and a porn star. That day, within a 10-hour time period, she broke a world record by having intercourse -- on camera -- with 251 men.

Quek, who says she likes being treated "like a piece of meat," is sitting in the cramped living room of a small suite at the Shadow Ridge Hotel in Park City, Utah, just after the final 1999 Sundance Festival screening of the documentary following her sexual exploits, "Sex: The Annabel Chong Story."

The documentary by first-time director Gough Lewis not only details the sexual marathon, but follows Grace for the next two years -- at her apartment in Los Angeles, at work and at school -- as she rides an emotional roller coaster while reeling between sexual bravado and deep self-doubt. The camera even goes with her on family visits to Singapore.

Tickets for this documentary were among the hottest items at the 1999 festival.

Few regrets about sex record
At first glance, she looks much smaller in person than she did in the film. Blond streaks run through her dark chin-length hair. She seems both unsure of herself and in total control at the same time.

This is the same woman who speaks in the documentary of being flattered that so many men wrote in wanting to take part in the marathon: "If that's not a ego trip, I don't know what is."

When asked if there was anything she now regrets about having sex with 251 men in 10 hours, she replies in a perfectly even, but soft voice, "The only thing I thought I'd do differently if I had to do it all over again -- I would definitely be more savvy about making sure all the guys were tested and wearing condoms for the big gang-bang event. But otherwise, I would do it the same way."

As the documentary shows, even fellow members of the adult film community were shocked by her lack of safety, and by the actual event itself. Their outrage didn't effect her then or now. "I'm not terribly involved in the politics of the adult film industry," she says. "This sort of hostility eventually loses its momentum when they find someone new to hate."

The most obvious question is why someone would even do this in the first place, let alone make a documentary about the subject. "What I hoped to accomplish firstly," she says, "was to explore my own personal sexuality, my boundaries, and I think I accomplished that. To see how far I could go off the beaten track of the passive female who likes to be romantically seduced."

Deep reasons behind behavior
But she also freely admits, both within the disturbing film and in this interview, that there are other, deeper reasons behind her extreme sexual behavior. The only child of parents who were both teachers, Grace led a sheltered life in Singapore and attended a girls-only convent school. She claims her life there was restricted and paralyzing.

In regard to her childhood and her current profession she admits, "Certainly that's a major aspect of it and there's, of course, all these stories about leaving Singapore and going completely in the other direction because Singapore is very, very repressive society, very rigid, very structured."

Todd Williams, an independent filmmaker who directed the Sundance dramatic entry "The Adventures of Sebastian Cole," expressed a fairly common reaction after seeing the documentary.

"The thing about 'The Annabel Chong' thing that was interesting to me," Williams says, "is that it wasn't -- I didn't find it titillating at all. I think," he continued, "a lot of people came there to be titillated, but it was -- it's pretty sobering."

Quek claims that her record-breaking feat (the record has since been broken several times by others) was also her way of poking fun at the double standard between men and women. "If a guy did 251 women in one day, I guess everyone would think he's a real stud," she maintains. "But when a girl does that she's considered to be this terrible slut."

She says she's aware that society still tends to put single women on a pedestal, sexually speaking, while single men are left off the hook by many, and allowed to exercise lower standards in their behavior. But she claims to see nothing wrong in lowering women's standards to fit the more base standards set by many men.

"Don't you think," she says, "that by putting women on this terrible pedestal, where they're all pure and perfect, is kind of terribly constraining on women? It really puts this terrible limit on what they can do in life. It's just another way of controlling -- limiting the avenues of exploration that women are allowed to do."

When asked what she thinks is the difference between making love and having sex and whether she feels the need for intimacy, she says, "I think making love is an emotional connection, a sense of being a part of another person. For me at least -- it's the difference between having a gourmet meal and a taco. Sometimes you maybe want a gourmet meal. Sometimes you just want a taco.

The actual sexual marathon is handled somewhat discreetly within the documentary. Only extreme close-ups of various body parts and faces are shown; the film never gets truly graphic. However, many scenes are hard to watch as the viewer is treated to numerous wide shots of hundreds of naked men all lined up in a big room waiting for their turn to make history -- an unsettling sight, to say the least.

In addition to the actual "gang bang," there are two very disturbing parts in the documentary. Her visit home to Singapore is extremely painful. Her parents had no idea what Grace did back in the United States and were completely unaware of her new claim to fame. Her mother glows in front of the camera while talking about her little girl and how she hopes Grace will find happiness in life. When she discovers the truth, the results are heartrending.

In the other unsettling segment, Grace takes a knife and repeatedly cuts her arm over and over again in a horrifying act of self-mutilation.

'Slightly overboard'
Asked if these difficult moments in the film actually reflected her life and how she felt at the time, she says, "The film is Gough's interpretation of my work and my life. I think that he projects a lot of himself onto the movie and he's drawn to certain situations. I look at the movie myself and say, 'God, am I actually that depressed?'"

She adds, "I think he went slightly overboard with it, but I think there's a grain of truth in a lot of the pain that I've had to go through. It's a really long journey and everything I've done until now is a work in progress."

After the interview, the last image this reporter had of Grace was of her sitting in the hotel hallway outside a closed door. She's apparently waiting for someone to take her to her next interview. Her knees are drawn up to her chest and her arms are wrapped around them. She has no expression on her face -- no expression at all.

Annabel Chong - Historical Perspective

Chong was born and raised in Singapore. She was a student at Raffles Girls' School and Hwa Chong Junior College before going on to study law in London under a scholarship. During this time, she was gang raped in a rubbish store under an inner-city housing block. At the age of 21, she went on to graduate studies in photography, art, and feminist studies at the University of Southern California (USC), where she excelled academically and also began working in pornographic films. Appearances in popular culture
After the event, Chong made a host of media appearances, including The Jerry Springer Show. This event also prompted author Chuck Palahniuk to write a novel, Snuff, on a fictional character who aimed to surpass Chong's record by having sex with 600 men. In her March 2000 appearance on the radio program Loveline, Chong admitted that there were slightly fewer than 70 men in her gangbang and that there were water and lunch breaks during the 10-hour time span. In 2007, a play based on her story, 251, was staged in Singapore by Loretta Chen.
